Yo Ho Ho

Does this Christmas need some sparkle?

So, we’re in the second week of October. Which of course means, it’s Christmas in ad-land!

I encountered my first Festive TV commercial of the season at the weekend.

A largely forgettable spot for Very.co.uk. Which frankly failed to inspire me, despite being backed by one of my favourite Christmas hits (from Wizzard).

But we live in interesting times at the moment, don’t we?

Hot on the heels of the unsurprising news that councils are considering cutting back on expensive Christmas lights during the energy crisis. Social media has been awash with ironic suggestions from “Scroogey” humourists regarding the plot for this year’s John Lewis commercial. One comic proposed it should feature a homeless family huddled around a campfire, roasting a squirrel. Backed by a dreary acoustic cover version of: “If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next”. Yo. Ho. Ho. Indeed.

But back in the real world, I’m sure that after two Covid disrupted Decembers, we will all eventually adopt a ‘Keep Calm & Christmas On’ attitude.

The Coca Cola truck will be in town before you know it. And I’ve no doubt that squirrel will be strictly off the menu, at M&S Food.

So you can rest assured it will always be the ‘season of goodwill’ here at Get Carter Productions. Which means that for all your festive radio and audio, we’ve got sacks full of sounds, and sleighs full of sonics, to really set your campaign apart.

From licencing a well-known classic Christmas tune, to a bespoke sparkly music soundtrack, the jolliest Santa, or most characterful Rudolph voiceovers. At this time of year Get Carter Productions is a veritable winter-wonderland for everything audio.

Oh, and if you’re up against it deadline-wise, don’t worry. We appreciate how Christmas can ‘suddenly creep up on you’, so we’re able to turn your next creative audio project around quickly and efficiently, but without compromise. And still get it out there to hit your campaign deadline.

So put on your party hat and give us a call, to chat through your festive wish list for this year.
